Denfeld After-School Happenings (DASH)

Our main community school program at Denfeld currently is the free after-school DASH program. By extending our school day, we provide additional opportunities for students to engage with teachers, have access to healthy food, safe space to build strong relationships, and expand their learning about things that interest them.  All program aspects are free, including activities, meal, and transportation home via DTA bus passes if needed.

The program runs Monday through Thursday 3:30-5:30 p.m. every day school is in session.

Regular participation is encouraged but not required. Students can drop in as needed for tutoring, mentoring, chess club, weight room, civic engagement, and service learning programs.

Health and Wellness

Currently we provide supports like free dental clinic services twice a year, a food shelf, and a clothing closet for students.

Family and Community Engagement & Leadership

For students to be successful, we know families matter. Denfeld community school organizes parent-teacher home visits throughout the school year to build more authentic relationships. We plan to organize family and community engagement and leadership events at least once per quarter each year at the school.
